Mika's Presets

Timeless presets that work on ANY image.

MOST presets don't work well because they...

only look good in select lighting conditions.

don’t account for darker skin colors and tones.

rely on auto white balance to create a coherent image.

neglect the differences between different types of cameras.

lack a professional feel and often rely on a cheap over-edited look.

Notice how the usual preset's quality differs wildly from photo to photo

FAQs

Check out these frequently asked questions if you have any regarding the presets.

Lightroom presets are filters that can help you create a specific style. It took me hundreds, maybe even thousands of hours to create my own style, which is actually the reason I made my own presets accessible to the people that want to improve. I know how difficult and time consuming the whole process can be. So my tip would be to start with a style that you like that someone else created and try to figure out why he/she did certain things. During my editing process I adjust A LOT of setting and I’ve come across many things that worked and even more things that didn’t work. My presets are a combination of the stuff that worked best throughout the last couple of years!

My presets are created for Adobe Lightroom Classic (Mac / Windows), Adobe Lightroom CC and Adobe Lightroom Mobile (Android & IOS). Adobe Lightroom allows importing/saving, viewing, organizing, tagging, editing, and sharing large numbers of digital images. Unlike Photoshop, Lightroom’s edits are always non-destructive by keeping the original image and the edits applied to it saved separately. It’s the preferred editing tool by almost all photographers I know. I prefer to use Adobe Lightroom Classic on desktop.

Most definitely! I’ve made sure that these presets have all the right settings applied to them. I also made sure to include a comprehensive installation guide so that you can start editing right away.

You can use any camera you’d like! Even photos taken on your phone will work. However, shooting with a camera that is able to shoot in a RAW format would be optimal since it allows you to use all the available data within a photo such as all the color data, lighting data and complete freedom with white balancing.

I’ve included a comprehensive guide on how to install the files on your computer or smartphone. It’s really easy, so don’t worry 🙂
I also added a few things which you should keep in mind when applying the presets. Such as adjusting the white balance and exposure manually.
So read the included instructions carefully.
